Pegla privacy policy

Effective October 26, 2026.

Pegla Beads (“Pegla”) is an app for children and their families: a child designs fuse bead pictures for a pegboard, and a grown-up helps bead them at the table. Pegla collects no personal information from anyone, children included. Nothing your child makes in the app is sent to us or to anyone else. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking and no in-app purchases.

No internet

Pegla never connects to the internet. On Android it does not even have permission to. iPhone and iPad have no such permission, since any app there can go online without asking; Pegla stays offline because there is no code in it that goes online. Pegla contains no code from advertising or analytics companies.

The app has one link, to this website, in About. It sits behind the grown-up check and opens in your browser, outside the app.

What stays on the device

Like any app’s files, they are part of the device’s own backup when it is turned on: iCloud Backup on iPhone and iPad, Google’s backup on Android. They move to a new device with it. That backup is between you and Apple or Google; we never see it. Deleting the app deletes them from the device.

When something leaves the app

Only when a grown-up does it. Sharing a design, exporting designs to a file, importing a file, printing the guide, saving it as a PDF and opening the website link all sit behind the grown-up check, a multiplication question a young child can’t answer. The file goes where you send it, such as AirDrop, email, Google Drive or a printer, under that service’s own rules. Pegla never sends a copy to us.

Crash reports

If you have chosen in your device’s settings to share analytics with Apple, or usage and diagnostics with Google, your device may send them a report when Pegla crashes, and they pass it on to us without your name. The report says where in the app it crashed, on which device and system version. Pegla adds nothing to it. You can turn this off in your device’s settings.

Buying the app

Apple and Google sell Pegla and take the payment, under their own privacy policies. We never see your card details. If you write to us about a purchase on Google Play, we can look up the order by its order number or the email address you bought it with.

Children’s privacy

Pegla is made for children, and for families using it together.

When you write to us

Email to support@devolent.com comes to our mailbox. We use what you send only to answer you and to fix what went wrong, and we keep it until you ask us to delete it. Please have a grown-up write to us rather than a child.

This website

pegla.devolent.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics or scripts, and has no forms. Like most web servers, ours logs each visit: the visitor’s IP address, the time, the page and the browser. The logs are used only to keep the site running and safe, and are deleted after 14 days.

Who is responsible

Devolent AB (company number 559408-7503), Scheelevägen 15, 223 70 Lund, Sweden, is the controller. Write to support@devolent.com.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us what we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Since the app collects nothing, that can only be the emails you have sent us. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with its date.
